That Place Between Sea And Land

A morning boat trip, a chance to move through some of the waters my great grandfather may have passed through on his way to England. A chance to look back at the city in all its colour and life.

There is something about the ocean that stirs such great awe in me.

Knowing there is a whole eco system below, and above in that forever sky, beyond the hazy blue air, there are solar systems, stars and planets. Yet out there on that water all I feel is nothingness.

Almost like being held in that place between sea and land, left to float through time. A place where what exists is only blue, and the past and future are yet to be discovered.
